Minute Suites

Traveling via plane is so aggravating. Line up for boarding passes and checking luggage, lines for security and that whole rigamarole, delayed flights, cancelled flights, oversold flights, full overhead bins, hoards of people crowding the airport, you get the idea and have lived the experience.

I have found a new oasis at the Atlanta airport, Concourse B, near gate 15...the Minute Suites! They are small soundproof, comfortable rooms which you rent for $34 an hour. I had seen the sign for them a few months back while slogging through the airport and knew they would surface in my future travel plans.

While traveling through ATL last week I had a two hour layover and decided to rent a suite for one hour. Wow! It made all the difference in my layover experience. The suite has a daybed, pillows, blankets, a HDTV with Direct TV, and a desk. The lighting is adjustable as is the sound masking system. The place was so soothing; I could have spent hours here!

This week, I had another layover in ATL and guess where I spent my time...
